Mahkota Tricom Unggul (MTU) Medan College of Economics (STIE) held a graduation ceremony for 42 bachelors of Business Management class XIII at the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Karabia, 7th Floor, Hotel Caribbean, Jalan Timor, Blok J, Medan City, Monday (29/3/2021 ). The event was attended by the high ranks of STIE MTU Medan.
At the graduation ceremony, which was also attended by the Chairman of the Higher Education Foundation (YP) Mahkota Tricom, Usli Sarsi, gave a motto to the graduates of STIE MTU Medan, that as a scholar you must be sensitive to the changing times and think out of the box.
"Whether it's creative thinking, innovative, and able to adapt to the times. In fact, we must have high concern for solving problems in this country," he said.
Usli Sarsi also said, for students who have just graduated, they must continue to study, be it outside what is studied at STIE MTU Medan. In addition, Usli also hopes that the scholars from STIE MTU can open jobs for the community.
"Whether it's opening jobs such as entrepreneurship. Because currently jobs are getting narrower, with the change in digitization. So, now everything can be replaced with machines, and the meaning of artificial intelligence," he said.
He added that intelligence alone was not enough for Bachelors of Business Management class XIII STIE MTU. So, a scholar from STIE MTU Medan must also be able to work with a heart and spirit of service.
"Whether it's a spirit of concern that must be instilled for STIE MTU graduates when working and creating job opportunities," he said.
Usli also said that only one person became the best graduate student at the bachelor's graduation in Business Management class XIII STIE MTU Medan. His name is Sai Vinodhini, who is a Bachelor of Management student.
Meanwhile, Sai Vinodhini, who is familiarly called Vino, was very excited when he was named the best graduate at the XIII STIE MTU Medan graduate in Business Management in 2021. Vino also admitted that the announcement of the best graduate was also sudden.
"I am happy with this achievement, but I also wondered why I was the best graduate? So, my lecturers said that the best graduates were not from cum laude grades. But they saw it from ethitut, and attendance in recovery," he said.
He also conveyed his future plans, he wanted to work first for one to two years. Then, he will continue his education Megister. He also said that there was something interesting and memorable for him when he was studying at STIE MTU Medan, namely the work group.
"So the work group is working together with classmates, when the lecturer gives a course assignment. It really impressed me. Whether it was solving problems and papers and discussing with college friends," he said.
Furthermore, the Head of STIE MTU Medan, Prof. Ir. H. Zulkarnain Lubis, M.S., Ph.D, said that students who have just graduated at STIE MTU Medan should do their best in the midst of society according to the knowledge provided by the campus.
"So the campus is not just learning science, not only learning actuality, but the most important thing is changing the mindset. So that they can work in any line and any job," he said.
Because according to him, the Bachelor of Economics is not an expert in the economy. However, it can adapt to the environment outside economics and others.
